YOUR MISSION:

If you want to pre-order or want a personalized, signed book of mine, now is the time to get one.
Okay.
I know why you're here.
THE COVER
The day has come! A HUGE thank you to Little, Brown's Liz who worked tirelessly on getting this cover to be just right. I love it and I hope you all do, too.
First, the back cover copy so you can get the gist of what going on here.
Gerald Faust knows exactly when he started feeling angry: the day his mother invited a reality television crew into his five-year-old life. Twelve years later, he’s still haunted by his rage-filled youth—which the entire world got to watch from every imaginable angle—and his anger issues have resulted in violent outbursts, zero friends, and clueless adults dumping him in the special education room at school.
Nothing is ever going to change. No one cares that he’s tried to learn to control himself, and the girl he likes has no idea who he really is. Everyone’s just waiting for him to snap…and he’s starting to feel dangerously close to doing just that.
In this fearless portrayal of a boy on the edge, highly acclaimed Printz Honor author A.S. King explores the desperate reality of a former child “star” who finally breaks free of his anger by creating possibilities he never knew he deserved.
Next, the important info like this:
Publication date: October 22, 2013
Hardcover ISBN: 978-0-316-22270-9
Price: $17.99
Then, the big reveal...
Not much more to say after that, is there?
Tell your Phoenix friends to come sing Happy Birthday to me at Changing Hands. Togas optional.
I'll be reading from ASK THE PASSENGERS but will also read the first two chapters of REALITY BOY.

Wow. This is an awesome cover. How did I not know this book was coming out? It looks amazing.
YES! I love that it leans back toward the kind of avant-garde style that originally came with Dogs and Ants. Can't wait to read it.
Love. Can't wait to read.
Happy birthday, and congrats on the awesome cover! Love it!
Love it!!
It's AWESOME, Amy. Absolutely love that cover. Looking forward to reading it!!!!
Amazing cover! I can't wait to read this one.
Love the cover!
I’m so excited you’ll be at the TFoB!! Will you there on Sunday? I can’t get a babysitter for Saturday and I am so bummed I might miss out on seeing you. I’ve considered trying to smuggle my toddler into the panels you’ll be doing, but she tends to think crowds of people only gather to see her, which inevitably results in mayhem…adorable mayhem, but mayhem nonetheless. So please tell me you’ll be here Sunday too. Or if you need someone to gaze at you adoringly and buy you an ice cream cone or a birthday beverage of any sort, I could be that someone!

Thanks for all the kind words.
L.L. -- I'm afraid I will not be at TFob on Sunday. :( Just Saturday panels. Sunday is my real-live birthday and I'll be back in Phoenix with a few of my favorite derby girls/teachers/booksellers/friends celebrating.
A LOT of great authors at TFoB on Sunday, though. Hope you have a great time!
(And I understand toddlers. Ho boy do I.)
So looking forward to reading Reality Boy. I mean, I've read and loved all your other books!
Looking forward to reading it! Cool cover!
