Other stuff I said before twice that I'll say again but in a shorter way this time:
You should check out this awesome interview. I am rarely asked about things outside of the young adult lit realm and this was a really great chat about landscape. Thank you to Tamara Smith over at Kissing the Earth. Click here to read it. Also: bonus pictures of baby me and badass me when younger. Also Irish farm pictures that make me homesick for it.
Avalon Charter School
If you're on Facebook, you should pop over to the Avalon Charter School's page and check out their PSAs for ReadBrave. I am so proud to be part of this project.
And hey! Look! They made the news!
Cover reveal for Break These Rules
You may remember this sale announcement from last year:
Luke Reynolds, ed.'s BREAK THESE RULES, an anthology of first-person accounts from leading authors for teens (including Sara Zarr, Kathryn Erskine, A.S. King and Gary Schmidt, and many others), from which all royalties will be donated to the Children's Defense Fund...
Here's the fantastic cover.

Luke rocks. Totally. |
Stuff I was supposed to remember to tell you:
- Max Black, the book I've been working on, will get a new title soon, I think. I'm just warning you.
- I read a stunning book this weekend. It was called Buzz Aldrin, What Happened to You in All the Confusion? Stunning. I'm telling you. Read it.
- You still have a chance to win all of my books by reading Everybody Sees the Ants and posting a twitter review on Twitter and tagging it #readbrave
- I feel too paranoid to not hit PUBLISH soon.
Soon, I will be back with a video answering a lot of questions from students.
And soup recipes.
Yes. Soup.

Third time's the charm with Blogger, apparently...but ugh!
Looking forward to BREAK THESE RULES--sounds awesome! (And great cover, too.)
I'm so bummed that I won't be able to see you at Changing Hands again this year! I've moved to California so I obviously won't be able to make it. Boohoo. :(
My mom and I loved getting to meet you the first time around. She still talks about how awesome you are and on top of that you have single handedly given her a new opinion on YA novels. Thanks to you she actually now believes some of them (like yours of course) have literary merit. YAY!!!!
Anyways, I'm glad Blogger didn't totally eat your post this time even if it did eat the last two. Stupid Blogger. :P
Thanks Shari!
Julia, you rock! Sad I won't see you at Changing Hands in March, but maybe I'll finally get myself out to CA one of these days.
Also, tell your mom she rocks. Adults with open minds about labels and literature make me smile. :)
