A kid excited about her new library book

This is my kid excited about her new library book on the walk home from school.
This is why literacy dollars count.
This is why library dollars count.
This is why education dollars count.
This is why time reading *with* our kids counts.
All kids.
Of all ages.

More soon.
Working for two more days.

I love the video! You are so right about literacy dollars - my son was always excited on library day in school. He was lucky enough to have a great librarian, too.

This is adorable. Would you mind if I shared on my library's facebook wall? We like to share fun/cute library support videos. (Facebook.com/juniatacountylibrary)

Thank you Kathy!

And Danielle, that's just fine. Thank you for asking! Share away.

She is my daughters. We make weekly trips to the library and it's a verbal explosion the whole way home--or they immediately start reading in the car and all is silent. I love both scenarios.

Congratulations on fostering that excitement, and thanks for sharing.

Love it! It's so awesome seeing kids excited about books. Libraries do that; teachers do that; parents do that. Yay for everyone who helps kids love books!
