Umm..
Stuff like this. Everybody Sees the Ants by A. S. King
And dudes. This.
And this, too...from Women Against War.
Also, I am rereading Andrew Smith's The Marbury Lens and I want to say that I read this book at some point in 2011 and it should have been on my last blog. I never reread books (except for Vonnegut and a few classics and favorites). Oh snap. It turns out this one fits into classics and favorites for me. If you haven't read it yet, do. The sequel is coming later this year and is called PASSENGER.

This is what I told Andrew when I first read Marbury, the day I discovered his blog (minus some expletives):
This book is incredible. Like heroin, or like the lens, I cannot put it down.
Okay, that may be poor paraphrasing on my part, it sounded cooler the first time.
Checking your links now.
The love between you and Andrew is gorgeous.
Wow. I'm loving your book (Ants)!
Yay to all of this. Heartily.
"Mom sighed.
Dad sighed.
I sighed.
The ants sighed."
Man, this is brilliant. And I read that part this morning, so I may have quoted it wrong, but the power of the image is the same.
Oh there's a sequel? Good, because the Marbury Lens felt rather unfinished for me. I didn't really care for it but I'm glad you love it! :)
Just finished Everybody Sees the Ants on Saturday. I was going to write about how powerful it was yesterday, but I had something scheduled. I'll try to put it up on Monday.
Thanks for writing such a wonderful story, now I have to find the time to read your other books.
